This man was using a metal detector and spade/sieve tool to hunt for lost jewellery, his friend on the beach wasn’t saying much more than that but said they had good days and bad, I assume that if it was worth buying the equipment and wading in the surf in Autumn that it must at least sometimes be very worthwhile.
