Paola

Paola is the bus stop that you get off when visiting the Tarxien Temples, this area is worth exploring, it has some impressive buildings, the main one being the`Paola Parish Church’ which completely dominates the Paola’s central square and is very clearly visible from Valletta.

Tarxien Temples

The Tarxien Temples are a little like an old construction site foundation.

I’m not sure 100% what I was expecting, huge columns maybe, whatever I was expecting I was still not disappointed, this is one of the most important historical sites in Malta.

The site is well designed to allow visitors to pass over the low level artifacts with easy to access ramps.

The shades over the top are maybe a little too modern and to me kind of distract from this amazing site but they did what they had to do, and it’s not the shades that you are there to look at.  It all certainly takes you back in time and totally blows your mind…

The story board information is also well done and very informative.

Worth a look? Definitely -If you are true history buff or even just a history novice you will not want to miss a visit to this site.
