El Medano Tenerife

El Medano – Another place where we have left a piece of our hearts, you can not help but fall in love with this laid back, surf town, with it’s abundance of cafe’s lined along the promenade.

I could quite happily pop El Medano into my pocket and bring it out when ever I felt down…will we go back ‘Hell Yes…this place will definitely be added to my must do again places…

Alicante

DSC03072Alicante is the perfect family holiday destination, a huge soft sand beach lined with more than enough little playgrounds for the littlies..

Alicante has something for everyone, a cute old town with little streets filled with adorably decorated houses, Spanish poems scattered around for you to practice your Spanish, a massive more modern shopping town, tons of cafe’s and restaurants, at least four Malls, a castle, and more…with Valencia not far away, Benidorm for a laugh a tram ride away and the stunning Altea it pretty much has every box ticked for a great holiday.

Working by Moonlight

As you probably all know by now I work through the nights to keep NZ hours for my colleagues and customers, locally that means I’m up till 6am Spanish time.

One bonus is that it’s a bit cooler, and it’s great if you like taking snaps of the moon. Check out the sequence I put together earlier today, might show the moons face in a new light for you. (Spoiler: check out the craters, full screen recommended as I don’t have a telescope)

Kastel Stari

IMG_2093Kastel Stari was 1 of 7 little towns, all within easy walking distance between each other.

The whole area was so peaceful and tranquil, with crystal clear waters, a few little cafe’s and some good restaurants.

We even got to see another ‘Game of Thrones’ backdrop in the very pretty Kastel Gomilica.
