El Medano Tenerife

El Medano – Another place where we have left a piece of our hearts, you can not help but fall in love with this laid back, surf town, with it’s abundance of cafe’s lined along the promenade.

I could quite happily pop El Medano into my pocket and bring it out when ever I felt down…will we go back ‘Hell Yes…this place will definitely be added to my must do again places…

Paphos, Cyprus

dsc05265Read about our stay in Paphos, Cyprus, where we found Archeological sites, good food, good weather and great people. It was also where our intrepid Boss came all the way from NZ to track us down for a work meeting 😛

It was a very easy place to spend 6 weeks, and when Jake managed to join a local football academy we really felt at home.

Alicante

DSC03072Alicante is the perfect family holiday destination, a huge soft sand beach lined with more than enough little playgrounds for the littlies..

Alicante has something for everyone, a cute old town with little streets filled with adorably decorated houses, Spanish poems scattered around for you to practice your Spanish, a massive more modern shopping town, tons of cafe’s and restaurants, at least four Malls, a castle, and more…with Valencia not far away, Benidorm for a laugh a tram ride away and the stunning Altea it pretty much has every box ticked for a great holiday.

Lagos 2016

DSC00372Lagos is the first place we have returned to for a second full months stay, check out our photo’s for our most obvious reasons, but the scenery isn’t the whole story, this time we got caught up in football fever, made new friends and even found a Portuguese grandmother?

Kastel Stari

IMG_2093Kastel Stari was 1 of 7 little towns, all within easy walking distance between each other.

The whole area was so peaceful and tranquil, with crystal clear waters, a few little cafe’s and some good restaurants.

We even got to see another ‘Game of Thrones’ backdrop in the very pretty Kastel Gomilica.

Palermo Sicily

IMG_0226Palermo is a mixture of rich vibrant colours in the famous Ballaro Markets, where you can buy everything from shoes, handbags to fruit and fish…and the very addictive ricotta cannoli’s that became our almost everyday treat.

The Cathedral is breathtaking, the fountain Fontana della Vergogna is beautiful,

Palermo is full of character, history and many stories…. Check out some of our photos from our 2 week stay..
